Meghan has been working therapeutically with individuals, groups, and families for over 20 years. Her experience includes working in community mental health settings, crisis response teams, wilderness therapy and young adult living programs, substance abuse treatment centers and school based behavioral programs. Meghan completed her Master’s degree in Social Work from Portland State University in 2002. Since then she has been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR Level II), and the Gottman Couples Method. Meghan is also approved to provide Clinical Supervision to social workers in the state of Oregon.
Meghan works primarily with adults, young adults, adolescents, and parents of adolescents. She uses an eclectic approach focusing on building relationships and weaving in various treatment approaches to balance change with acceptance. Meghan’s practice relies heavily on cognitive behavioral interventions, strengths building, and systems theory. In addition to seeing individuals and couples, Meghan loves running adult and teen DBT coping skills groups.
Meghan was raised in New England and has travelled throughout the world. She has lived for the last 22 years in Central Oregon and enjoys spending time playing in the wilderness with her husband and two children.
