She has a background in providing individual, family and group therapy for adults and youth in settings as wide ranging as community mental health clinics, wilderness program, residential treatment center, community outreach center and nonprofit organizations in both the US and Canada. She regularly provides trainings for professionals in a range of topics and enjoys consulting for program development. She has been intensively trained in DBT and in 2007 earned her CADCIII. Laurie is trained in the Gottman Couples Method and approved to provide Clinical Supervision in the state of Oregon.

In addition to using DBT and other CBT techniques, Laurie believes in a wholistic approach to treatment including traditional and complimentary approaches that enhance clients inherent strengths.

Laurie enjoys the offerings of a smaller community and the beautiful natural surroundings that Central Oregon provides. Watch for her this winter on the mountain.
