We are so excited for PJ to join our clinical team at Sage Behavioral Counseling! PJ has been working for years with individuals and families in a variety of settings. She has experience as an individual therapist working with children, teens and adults, running therapeutic groups, facilitating family workshops, and parent coaching. PJ brings an enormous heart, creative problem solving, and a dedication to her work at Sage Counseling.
PJ graduated with a Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of Idaho in 2004. She earned her clinical license in 2005 and became a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADCI) in 2009. In 2010 PJ became a clinical supervisor for other Licensed Professional Counselors seeking their clinical license. PJ is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). PJ has worked as a child and family therapist in a psychiatric residential treatment center, a therapist and the Director of Family Transition Services for a wilderness intervention program for teens, and for the past 10 years PJ has been the Clinical Director of a therapeutic boarding school for girls age 10-15. PJ has lead professional trainings on DBT skills, ADHD strategies, anxiety and mood management, and trauma and attachment. In addition she has presented at several regional conferences for therapeutic schools and programs.
PJ is dedicated to her work, her clients, and to living her best life. She loves a physical challenge whether it be on a road or mountain bike, cross country or telemark skis. PJ brings her zest for life to her work with people, helping her clients achieve their goals be they emotional, mental, or physical.
